Oh hell yes, like FINALLY! Thank you, True Blood!
And I thought last week's episode was gooey! Little did I know I'll get served a whole lotta goo explosion even before the opening credits:

I know Sookie's gone through this before in Season 1, but getting splattered with some insignificant vampire goo doesn't seem at all shocking compared to getting splattered with Lorena-goo! I laughed and laughed and cringed and laughed when Lorena exploded all over Bill. That was bloody disgusting! (literally!) I can't express how thrilled I am that Lorena is DEAD! And I mean like really, REALLY dead (coz technically she's already dead this whole time anyway). Sorry, Lorena fans, I know some of you love her. I do admit, she is one fine and gorgeous lady, but I can't stand her. Good riddance. Great way for her to go. Definitely my FAVORITE vampire death scene.
Although, maybe that scene from last week where Crazy Eyes Tara smashed Franklin's brains out with MACE was a whole lot better (and funny as hell!). But we don't know for sure if Franklin's really dead, do we? After all, he didn't explode. Hmmm.
Season 3 is definitely picking up its pace starting from last week's episode. Franklin is noticeably absent this episode, but that's OK because he successfully gave Tara relevance in the series. Couldn't stand Tara for the last 2 seasons, and partly the beginning of this season, but oh baby, when she smashed Franklin's head like a madwoman last week, and KICKED Bill out of the truck in this episode... as Lafayette would say, BITCH, I AM A FAN!
Also, more clues about what Sookie really is. I didn't read all the books, but I already know what Sookie is. I also skimmed through the first half of Book 4, so I kinda know who Claudine is, and am pleasantly surprised that we get to meet her already. But then there's a big pffft deflation because TV Claudine is unexpectedly... drab. Seriously, I was shaking my iPad screen screaming "THAT'S CLAUDINE?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" They could've done better, really.
Despite Season 3 is doing pretty good so far, I still think there are some subplots that I could totally live without. e.g. Lafayette & Jesus, Jason & Crystal, and mostly, Sam & the Mickens. They better come together to the main plot because seriously, standing alone, they're kinda like... meh, so what? Although, I can probably forgive Jason because he always provides the show with some comic relief.
And what's up with Hoyt and Jessica?! I need those two to be back together already, dammit! I don't see what their problem is, really. So Jessica was distracted because she had that dead body in the first few episodes. But dead body had been disposed of, so WHAT'S THE PROBLEM, BABYVAMP? Honestly, I'm getting more and more worried about Summer's well-being. Summer, a.k.a. Bernadette, Wolowitz's girlfriend in The Big Bang Theory, a.k.a. Biscuit Girl, a.k.a. Hoyt's new girlfriend. I'd be worried if I were her. Wouldn't wanna piss off an ex-girlfriend, especially if said ex-girlfriend is a VAMPIRE ex-girlfriend. I have a feeling things won't end well with her.
And we're already halfway past Season 3! Can you believe this!? And STILL NO ACTION between Sookie & Alcide! Come on, True Blood! I need sparks to start flying between these two!
